Niyam means rule. The rule a man keeps for himself, even when no one would notice if he broke it. It is the discipline of showing up — early, prepared, composed. It is the rule of doing the work the day requires, without performance and without complaint.
Niyam is the working gentleman's shirt — and we are aware that every brand makes a black and white shirt for that man. Most are indistinguishable from one another. We have kept the discipline of the form — only black, only white — and added the smallest, deliberate signature: a fine line of beige piping around the placket and the front yoke. From three feet away, the shirt reads as the standard a serious man requires. From one foot away, it is unmistakably Panthère. That is the rule of the house: the difference is in the detail, never in the volume.
Offered in two colourways:
A polyester-lycra blend, chosen for one promise: the shirt looks the same at 8 PM as it did at 8 AM. Wrinkle resistant. Crisp through a full working day. Breathable for Indian summers, structured enough for serious rooms. The blend does not fade, does not lose its press, does not lose its presence.
We use premium fabric and construction from trained ateliers. Niyam is cut to the discipline of an office shirt — clean through the shoulder and waist, tailored without being tight — and finished by the same Mohali atelier that builds the rest of the house's work.
Construction notes
Cold machine wash, gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Warm iron only if needed, inside-out. The blend is built to last across many wears — treat it like it will.
